Bristol Lord Mayor's awards recognise community heroes

People from all walks of life have been recognised for their outstanding contribution to their local communities in Bristol at an annual award ceremony.

 

They were presented with Lord Mayor’s medals by the Lord Mayor Clare Campion-Smith at the Mansion House in Clifton.

 

Abdul Malik (Easton)

A prominent member of the Easton community and an inspiring Muslim figurehead, Abdul has helped transform the Easton Community by tackling street crime and supporting businesses. He is a founder member of Bristol East Side Traders and the Stapleton Road working group.

 

 promoting scouting in the area. He runs the local beavers, cubs and scouts groups four times per week teaching boys and girls valuable life skills.
