It has been a “terrible night” for the Liberal Democrats, according to Abdul Malik.
The candidate for the Bristol East seat said it doesn’t look good for him as the count continues.
He said: “Terrible night for our party and indeed myself.
“I thank everyone that voted for me. We have lost some brilliant Liberal Democrat MPs and my thoughts and prayers are with their campaign teams and constituents.
