Abdul Malik chosen by Lib Dems to fight Bristol East seat at general election

A COMMUNITY leader and businessman has announced he is hoping to become a Liberal Democrat MP in Bristol at the next General Election.

 

Abdul Malik has been chosen as the parliamentary candidate for the Bristol East constituency and will be taking on Labour’s Kerry McCarthy at the election next year

 

Bristol born, Abdul grew up in the city and was a pupil at Whitehall Primary School and Whitfield Fishponds Secondary.

 

He has been a local businessman since the age of 17 and runs a chain of butchers shops in the city and in South Wales, he is also chairman of the Easton mosque.
